![]() ![]() There are four innate stats for each character. For a full rundown of Abilities and much more for each character, check out our Characters section. A character's Abilities are ever-present stat boosts, generally, but also may provide other benefits. You can spend Points on Abilities much like spending Pips on Powers. Red notches in the Power Pip meter represent major effects in that power's augmentation. For each Power Pip you spend on an Ability you'll increase its effectiveness: strength, radius, length etc. These can be used to augment your Powers and Abilities. You collect Power Pips as collectibles and you get both Power Pips and Points from leveling up. ![]() For each levels gained, you'll get a Power Pip which you may use to upgrade your powers. All characters will stay within at least two levels of each other automatically. Even if you don't actively use a character, that character will still gain XP, albeit a lesser amount. You gain XP by defeating enemies and destroying peripheral items - like crates. Like in many RPGs, in Marvel Ultimate Alliance, you need to gather XP to increase your characters' levels. The circle automatically locks on when you do so. You'll have to manually line this up with your target. A red circle appears on the ground after initiating this one. It's highly-damaging and only hits one target. Targeted - The Targeted Fusion is an essential tool for beating bosses into submission.Use these on bosses and small groups of powerful enemies - like mechs. Mash LIGHT ATTACK to increase the duration of the attack. Guided - You have to control these Fusions manually but they deal out an amazing amount of damage.The more enemies you get in the ring, the higher the likelihood you'll receive a Health Token. Clearing - Mash LIGHT ATTACK after initiating this in the dead center of a huge group of enemies to deal damage to all of them.The type of Fusion you can perform with a character appears above his or her head - all character combinations result in a specific Fusion so you may need to switch characters to perform, say a Targeted Fusion when you need one. To initiate a Fusion you need to choose a teammate to perform it with. There are three types of Fusion at your disposal. ![]()
